Based on the philosophy and principles of Tai Chi, Shibashi is a sequence of 18 movements choreographed into a smooth flow which is precisely synchronised with deep, relaxed abdominal breathing. Very little motivation is required to maintain Shibashi as a daily routine because this gentle, beautiful, flowi is exceptionally pleasurable and provides a prolonged feeling of well-being.
Although the Shibashi experience is most fulfilling when all three seminars are attended, there’s no specific order in which you need to learn the movements. Each seminar covers all 18 movements but will focus in depth on six at a time.
The History of Shibashi - 10/11 - 9:30 am to 11:30 am
Join us for a Shibashi seminar where you'll learn six key positions of this Tai Chi form. We'll begin the morning with refreshing detox drinks and a brief introduction to the rich history of Shibashi, a practice rooted in the ancient martial art of Tai Chi.
Shibashi, which combines the flowing movements of Tai Chi and Qigong, has been developed to promote balance, relaxation, and inner calm. As you move through the session, you'll not only cleanse your spirit but also enjoy proven health benefits such as improved cardiovascular health, better sleep, and reduced fatigue.
Breathing and Focus - 17/11 - 9:30 am to 11:30 am
This seminar continues with six more Shibashi positions, focusing on breathing through each movement and connecting to your inner Chi. Shibashi has been shown to increase lung capacity, enhance breathing patterns, and strengthen respiratory muscles.
By practising this form of exercise, you'll not only work on improving these essential daily functions but also develop a more mindful approach to everyday life.
Qigong and Good Health - 1/12 - 9:30 am to 11:30 am
In this seminar, Diana will reveal the subtle yet powerful ways Shibashi strengthens both body and mind. You’ll work towards connecting the complete Shibashi flow.
Qigong is known for its ability to improve mental clarity, reduce stress, and balance emotions. It enhances the body’s natural healing processes, improving circulation, digestion, and flexibility. By practising this gentle art, you’ll not only boost your immune system and increase energy levels but also support mental and emotional well-being, helping you feel more grounded and resilient.
